Defending champions Saracens have reached the last eight at the European Champions Cup this season. The back to back title winners defeated Northampton Saints over the weekend to get their campaign back on track and as Wasps defeated Ulster on Sunday, their spot was confirmed.

Saracen’s own their victory to Wasps victory at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday as it made them the third-best second-placed side. They are now the only English side to have made this next stage but they face a tough clash against Leinster away. In other fixtures, Scarlets face La Rochelle while Munster play Toulon and Clermont Auvergne meet with Racing 92.

Saracens would not find it easy against Leinster, who are the only side to have maintained their unbeaten record this term. Leinsterare keen on making it to the final four so they would have to face the defending champs to seal a spot. They defeated Montpellier 14-23 away in their last game so they are in top form.

Scarlets are the first Welsh side to make the last eight in the last six years. They face debutants La Rochelle, another side that has surpassed expectations this season. The all French clash between Clermont and Racing promises to be a major clash. Munster saw off Castres in their final pool game to make the next stage where they will meet the three time winners Toulon.
